Tsingtao Supersport team to make British Superbike leap

Motorpoint British Supersport regulars Tsingtao WK Bikes Suzuki will make the leap into the MCE British Superbike Championship towards the end of the season but are looking for a rider 'of an appropriate level' to go with them.

The team, managed by Dave Tyson and backed by R&G, have secured the backing of the Chinese beer firm through to the end of the 2014 season and have bought an 2012 ex-Josh Brookes GSX-R1000, with more than enough spares, to go into BSB from the Cadwell Park round onwards.

"We are ready and waiting to go. We have great backers in the shape of Tsingtao and getting an ex-Brookes GSX-R from Tyco Suzuki has been a real boost, we just need a rider of an appropriate level to come and join us," said Tyson, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

"If we can sort out the right package, we can start from the Cadwell round, but we want a rider who will be in it for the long haul, not just go to the end of the year and disappear into the distance."
