Crescent Suzuki team boss Jack Valentine has rubbished rumours emanating from the World Superbike paddock that rider Sylvain Guintoli has switched to the Stiggy Honda team.

Speculation was rife around the Portimao paddock that Johan Stigefelt wasn't happy with Roby Rolfo's performance, and he had done a deal wheel the French former MotoGP rider in as a replacement.

Speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning, Valentine laughed: "That's the first I've heard of it, what a great rumour. I'm actually just off to see Sylvain now.

"We've got all of our test dates booked and flights sorted. The only thing we haven't got is a title sponsor, which always creates rumours, but we will be there."
