British Superbike Championship bridesmaid Chris Walker will be back in the series next year after signing to ride for Rob Mac Racing - and despite having ben racing around the world, he can't wait to get back in front of British fans.
The 38-year-old, who last raced in BSB with Rizla Suzuki in 2007, comes off the back of a bad year in World Superbikes riding for Paul Bird Motorsport and is raring to go with former team boss McElnea.
"I love racing here in front of British fans, they're the best in the world," said Walker, speaking to www.bikesportnews this lunchtime. "I can't wait to get back to the likes of Mallory and Donington, they're special places to ride.
"It will be good to have a team that is fully behind me. I have ridden for Rob before and we worked well together. It will be good to get back on a Yamaha this year and have a good go at the title next year, so long as I'm not wobbling round at the back in 2009!"
