Young Scotsman Ryan Watson will be back out on the Monster Energy Motostar grid after acquiring himself a standard Moto3 machine from Mark Keen Race Preparation. He will ride under the banner of Watson Works Racing for the last two rounds of the year at Silverstone and Brands Hatch.
After splitting with Team Appleyard Macadam Racing last week, Watson began to look for a Moto3 machine but unfortunately the Brechin rider ran out of time before this weekend’s Motostar round at Assen.
“I’m very excited to get out on the Moto3. It’s something different and without a doubt a new challenge for both myself and the team behind me. It won’t be easy to get on a completely different bike to what I’ve ridden before and immediately go fast, but we’re feeling optimistic for the future,” said Watson, speaking to bikesportnews.com.
“Luck hasn’t gone our way at all this year but hopefully we can salvage something from the year and get back to where I feel I should be at Silverstone and Brands Hatch.”
