2026 MotoGP Italian Grand Prix Results, Sunday: Race

Gold and Goose

Results from the Warm Up session at the 2026 MotoGP Italian Grand Prix at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello.

Marco Bezzecchi took a commanding win at Mugello, beating Jorge Martin by over three seconds.

The Italian lost the lead at turn one to Jorge Martin, but re-passed his teammate at turn four. Francesco Bagnaia then passed Martin and Bezzecchi by the end of the third lap, and proceeded to lead until after half-distance.

Bagnaia started to fade in the final third of the race, though, and Bezzecchi retook the lead on lap 14. The Aprilia rider immediately opened a gap of one second, and Bagnaia soon lost out to Martin, too.

Martin initially looked to have the pace to catch Bezzecchi, but one lap from the Italian in the mid-1:46s convinced Martin to settle for second, leading Bezzecchi free to cruise to his fourth win of the season.

While the Aprilias cleared off to yet another 1-2, Bagnaia was being closed down by Ai Ogura on the third of the Aprilias. The Japanese rider had come from the back end of the top-10 to pass Fabio Di Giannantonio, Marc Marquez, Fermin Aldeguer, and Pedro Acosta to get to fourth. He passed Bagnaia in the final corner of the last lap, but the Ducati beat the Aprilia on the run to the line and Bagnaia secured back-to-back podiums for the first time since he was third at Assen and Sachsenring last year.

Behind Ogura, Di Giannantonio took fifth, ahead of Pedro Acosta, Marc Marquez, Raul Fernandez who dropped almost to the back at the first turn when he ran wide, Fermin Aldeguer, and Diogo Moreira who rounded out the top-10 for the second time this weekend.

Toprak Razgatlioglu crossed the line 15th, but lost the final point for exceeding track limits on the final lap, for which he received a one position penalty. Raul Fernandez also received a one position penalty after the race and dropped from eighth to ninth.
