Lap times from the qualifying session at the 2026 MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, round four of 2026.
Marc Marquez took his first pole position of 2026 in Jerez, just beating Johann Zarco who had come through Q1 and had good confidence and speed in what were damp conditions.
Fabio Di Giannantonio was third, using Marco Bezzecchi as a marker to beat the championship leader by 0.018 seconds in Q2. Bezzecchi will start fourth alongside Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta on the second row, Marquez having crashed at turn nine on his first run before recovering to fifth.
Jorge Martin was another crasher and qualified seventh. He has a three-place grid penalty for riding slowly on the racing line in Practice yesterday, so will start seventh in the Sprint but 10th in the grand prix.
Enea Bastianini and Raul Fernandez will complete the third row this afternoon, but Francesco Bagnaia will move to ninth place on Sunday's grid after qualifying 10th thanks to Martin's penalty.
Ai Ogura and Fermin Aldeguer were the two slowest riders in Q2, Aldeguer qualifying slowest of the 12 after a crash at turn eight only a few minutes before his teammate, Marquez, crashed at turn nine.
