The Bendsneyder and Preicanos Racing drama continues...

Gold and Goose

Since Bo Bendsneyder announced he was leaving the Preicanos Racing Team the Spanish Team owner has released a statement.

At the San Marino Grand Prix, it was revealed by Bo Bendsneyder that he would be departing from the Preicanos Racing Team. However, what was unusual about the announcement was that he stated he was departing after that same weekend.

The Dutch rider claimed that he was being 'thrown out' of the Moto2 squad after the new owners came in. The new team owner, Raul Castaneda, has since released a statement, which has made the situation even stranger.

It reads: "Bo, you are a great racer with undisputed talent. I wish you had followed my advice and trusted my words. One day you will understand that it was a mistake to get off the bike. You are a racer - and you always will be. If you decide to return one day, I am always here for you. A hug for you and best wishes for everything the future brings - Raul Castaneda."

It was revealed that after an in-team pole was conducted Bendsneyder would be relegated to the European Moto2 Championship. This is something that the Dutch rider did not want to do, so he left the team immediately after the decision was made.

It is unclear who will replace Bendsneyder, but it will most likely be Casraneda's preferred rider, Daniel Munoz.
