Despite a strong start to the weekend last time out, Filip Salac ended the Grand Prix in 11th, something he will not want to repeat in Hungary after starting the weekend in third.

MotoGP-bound, Diogo Moreira had a solid start to his Friday as he featured in fourth place on the timesheets for the Italtrans Racing Team.

Rounding out the top five was Moto2 rookie Collin Veijer on the Red Bull KTM Ajo machine.

Despite a late crash in Free Practice One at Balaton Park, Jake Dixon featured inside the top ten as he finished in sixth place.

Tony Arbolino arrives in Hungary off the back of one of his best races of the season, and carried his form to Balaton Park with a seventh place in Free Practice One.

Aron Canet struggled in Austria after suffering a big crash in Practice, but he will want to be back on the pace this week as he started his weekend in eighth.

Completing the top ten were the two Moto2 rookies of David Alonso and Ivan Ortola as they finished in ninth and tenth places.
