Moto2 Hungary, Race Results | David Alonso claimed his maiden Moto2 victory

Moto2 rookie, David Alonso, secured his first victory in the Championship at the new Balaton Park Circuit.

After 14 Grands Prix in the Moto2 World Championship, David Alonso claimed his first victory in the class as he won on his first visit to the Balaton Park Circuit.

Diogo Moreira was able to feature on his fifth podium of the season as he crossed the line in second place, but was 0.174 seconds behind Alonso across the line.

The Moto2 World Championship leader, Manuel Gonzalez, returned to the podium as he finished in third place.

After two disappointing races in the Czech Republic and Austria, Jake Dixon was back inside the top ten as he claimed a fourth-place finish at the new Balaton Park Circuit.

Collin Veijer claimed his best result in his rookie Moto2 season in the Hungarian Grand Prix as he finished in fifth place for the Red Bull KTM Ajo squad.

Aron Canet has not featured inside the top five since the Dutch TT in June, but he did finish in sixth place this weekend in Hungary.

Adrian Huertas claimed his first top ten finish in the Moto2 World Championship as he finished in seventh place for the Italtrans Racing Team.

The second Boscoscuro rider in the top ten at the Hungarian Grand Prix was the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team rider Filip Salac, who finished in eighth.

Daniel Holgado did not have the pace to match his teammate as he finished in ninth place for the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team.

Completing the top ten was the Moto2 rookie Ivan Ortola on the QJMOTOR - FRINSA - MSi machine.
