After winning the Argentine Grand Prix two weeks ago, Angel Piqueras has carried his form to America.
Angel Piqueras is back at the top of the timesheets after a controversial win in Argentina. In the wet conditions at the Circuit of the Americas he was the fastest in the wet conditions.
The Thai Grand Prix winner, Jose Antonio Rueda, ended the session behind Piqueras in second place. The two Spaniards will likely drag their title fight on throughout the 2025 Moto3 season.
Matteo Bertelle continued his Friday form as he ended Free Practice One in third place on the LEVELUP - MTA machine.
The top Honda rider on Friday morning was David Almansa from the Leopard Racing squad. The Spaniard ended the session in fourth place and is one of two Honda riders in the top ten.
The Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad ended the morning in fifth and sixth place. Moto3 rookie Guido Pini ended the session in fifth with his more experienced teammate, David Munoz, in sixth.
British rider, Scott Ogden, was able to end Free Practice One in seventh place as he quickly got up to speed in the wet.
The second Honda in the top ten on Friday morning was the second Leopard Racing rider, Adrian Fernandez. The Spaniard ended the session in eighth place, four places behind his teammate.
Joel Kelso only completed seven laps in the wet conditions yet was able to end the session in ninth. The Australian was able to use his experience at the circuit to make his way into the top ten.
Adrian Cruces impressed in his first session at the Circuit of the Americas as he ended Free Practice One in tenth.
British rider Eddie O'Shea was unable to make his way into the top ten and ended the session in 24th.
