The opening Moto3 session of the weekend in Argentina was in mixed conditions, but David Munoz ended the morning on top.
David Munoz starts the second round of the 2025 Moto3 World Championship on top of the timesheets. The Spaniard left it late in the mixed conditions to set the best lap of the session as he set his fastest lap on his final flying lap.
The Moto3 World Championship leader, Jose Antonio Rueda, ended the morning in second place. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider thought he had set the fastest lap, but was beaten moments later by Munoz.
Leopard Racing rider, David Almansa, had been on top of the timesheets for the majority of the session. However, he could not match the late pace of Rueda and Munoz.
Scott Ogden was able to end the morning inside the top five in Free Practice One. The British rider was consistently inside the top ten throughout the session and was fourth when the chequered flag came out.
The second Leopard Racing rider, Adrian Fernandez, completed the top five on Friday morning. The Spaniard was 0.8 seconds behind Munoz on his Honda.
Joel Esteban continues to replace the injured Jacob Roulstone in the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad. The Spaniard ended Free Practice One in sixth place and continues to impress as a replacement rider.
After dominating Friday in Thailand, Matteo Bertelle was in seventh place at the end of the opening session in Argentina.
FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi rider, Angel Piqueras, was 1.3 seconds behind Munoz at the end of Free Practice One. The Spaniard ended the session in eighth place on his KTM.
Luca Lunetta was the third of three Honda riders inside the top ten as he ended the session in ninth.
Rounding out the top ten was the Kiwi rider, Cormac Buchanan, on the BOE Motorsports KTM.
British rider, Eddie O'Shea, ended the morning in 25th place and was 4.5 seconds behind Munoz.
