Matteo Bertelle leads the way at the end of Friday Practice at the Thai Moto3 Grand Prix.

The first Friday Practice sessions of the 2025 Moto3 season have been completed and the Q2 places have been confirmed.

The top 14 places at the end of Friday afternoon Practice will automatically qualify for Q2 on Saturday.

Matteo Bertelle tops the timesheets at the end of the first day of the 2025 Moto3 World Championship. The Italian and the LEVELUP - MTA squad are surprise front runners on the opening day of the season.

The SIC58 Squadra Corse outfit and Stefano Nepa are second on the Moto3 timesheets. Nepa is the top Honda rider, but is 0.2 seconds behind Bertelle.

Jose Antonio Rueda has been labelled as a title contender and has started his year off in third. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider ended Friday in Thailand in third place.

The FRINSA - MT Helmets - MSi team are in fourth and fifth at the end of Day One. Ryuesi Yamanaka and Angel Piqueras worked together at the end of the session to set their best laps.

Leopard Racing locked out sixth and seventh places on the timesheets. The Spaniards of Adrian Fernandez and David Almansa are 0.4 seconds behind Bertelle's best time.

David Munoz has joined the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP team for the 2025 season. The Spaniard ended his first day of Practice with his new team in eighth.

Japanese rider, Taiyo Furusato, ended Friday in Thailand in ninth place on the Honda Team Asia Moto3 machine.

Riccardo Rossi is riding for his fifth different team in the Moto3 class and ended his opening day with the Rivacold Snipers Team in tenth.

British rider Scott Ogden finished 13th on the CIP Green Power KTM, and he automatically qualified for Q2. However, Eddie O'Shea, who is still with the GRYD - MLav Racing Team, did not set a lap time.
