Marc Marquez returns to the top step of the podium for the first time since 2021, whilst Bagnaia fails to finish after contact with Alex Marquez.
Saturday was the tale of Marc Marquez as the Spaniard started from pole position and won his first MotoGP Sprint Race. With only the feature-length Grand Prix to go the question on everybody's mind was could Marquez win again for the first time in 1,043 days?
After 1,043 days Marc Marquez is back on the top step of a Grand Prix podium. The Spaniard was unbeatable yet again as he led from start to finish. Marquez showed that he truly is back to his best even after all of his injuries.
The battle for second place should have been a spectacle, but in the end, Jorge Martin had it covered. The Spaniard could not match Marquez but he had a 10-second gap back to third place.
Pedro Acosta completed the podium as for the first time since America he returned to the rostrum. Acosta had been on a rough run of form but looked back to his best at Aragon.
The second KTM in the top five was Brad Binder in fourth. The South African kept his nose clean for the whole race and stayed away from any of the drama.
Completing the top five was Enea Bastianini on the Factory Ducati. The Italian was the top Factory Ducati rider as his late-race pace once again moved him up the order from his poor Qualifying position.
Just outside the top five was Franco Morbidelli. Despite a difficult start to 2024, the Italian is proving why he deserves a ride on the 2025 MotoGP grid.
The VR46 riders finished in seventh and eighth places. Marco Bezzecchi finished in seventh place with Fabio Di Giannantonio in eighth place.
The battle for the best Japanese manufacturer goes to Yamaha at Aragon. Alex Rins took ninth place for Yamaha as he claimed his first top-ten of the season.
The top Aprilia rider in Aragon was Aleix Espargaro. After Jack Miller was relegated down to 15th due to a tyre pressure penalty the Spaniard was promoted into tenth.
It was a huge shakeup for the Championship in Aragon as Francesco Bagnaia was taken out whilst running in third place by Alex Marquez.
