Raul Fernandez claimed his first MotoGP Grand Prix victory after dominating the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.
For the first time in his MotoGP career, Raul Fernandez has claimed Grand Prix victory and took Trackhouse Racing's first MotoGP victory since they entered the sport. The Spaniard dominated the Australian Grand Prix and controlled the race from the front.
The top Ducati in the Australian Grand Prix was the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, Fabio di Giannantonio. This was the Italians' first Grand Prix podium since the Italian Grand Prix earlier this season.
Despite taking a double long lap penalty, Marco Bezzecchi was back on the podium for the Aprilia Racing squad. The Italian rider finished in third place at Phillip Island and is now third in the MotoGP World Championship.
The second Ducati rider inside the top five at the Australian Grand Prix was the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider, Alex Marquez. He missed out on the podium but secured a fourth-place finish on the Ducati GP24.
Pedro Acosta had been in the podium battle throughout the Grand Prix at Phillip Island. However, the Spaniard suffered with tyre wear in the latter laps and dropped to fifth place and was 7.930 seconds behind Fernandez.
Luca Marini claimed his tenth top ten finish of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship as the Honda HRC Castrol rider finished in sixth place in the Australian Grand Prix.
The top Yamaha rider on Sunday at Phillip Island was the Monster Energy Yamaha rider, Alex Rins. The Spaniard has been inside the top ten in the last two races and finished seventh in Australia.
Brad Binder was back inside the top ten for the second Grand Prix in a row as he finished in eighth place for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team.
Completing the top ten was the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad, Enea Bastianini finished in ninth place, and the KTM Test Rider, Pol Espargaro, who is replacing Maverick Vinales, finished in tenth place.
