MotoGP Catalunya, Free Practice One Results | Pedro Acosta topped the timesheets on Friday morning

Pedro Acosta led the way for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team at the Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya.

In the opening MotoGP session of the weekend, it was Pedro Acosta who topped the timesheets for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team in Barcelona.

The Spaniard held a 0.095-second lead over Johann Zarco, who ended up in second place on the LCR Honda Castrol machine.

Marc Marquez started his weekend in third place on the factory Ducati, he was 0.219 seconds behind Acosta at the end of the session.

Maverick Vinales was the second KTM rider to feature inside the top five, the Spaniard started his return from injury in fourth place for Red Bull KTM Tech3.

Rounding out the top five was the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider, Alex Marquez, the Spaniard was 0.405 seconds behind Acosta in Free Practice One.

Narrowly missing out on a spot inside the top five was the Honda HRC Castrol rider, Luca Marini. The Italian started his weekend in a positive way with a sixth place finish in Free Practice One.

Brad Binder was the third KTM rider to feature inside the top ten in the opening Free Practice session as he was in seventh place for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing squad.

The top Aprilia rider on Friday morning at the Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya was the factory Aprilia Racing rider, Marco Bezzecchi, in eighth place.

Honda had three riders inside the top ten in Free Practice One as their Test Rider, Aleix Espargaro, was in ninth place.

Completing the top ten was the fourth and final KTM on the grid, Enea Bastianini made sure every KTM rider was in the top ten, but he was 0.626 seconds behind Acosta.
