The difficult weather conditions resulted in Johann Zarco winning a dramatic French Grand Prix at Le Mans.
Johann Zarco claimed his second MotoGP race win and his first race win at home at Le Mans. The French rider made the right call on tyres and won the French Grand Prix by 19.907 seconds.
Marc Marquez crossed the line in second place and was able to extend his Championship lead. It was a difficult day for his title rivals, and a podium was a good result for Marquez in the conditions.
Fermin Aldeguer was able to secure his first Grand Prix podium in the premier class. The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider has limited experience in the wet but was able to cross the line in third.
KTM were able to claim fourth and fifth place at the French Grand Prix. It was Pedro Acosta in fourth for the factory team, which was his best result of the season. Maverick Vinales was able to finish in fifth for the Tech3 squad.
HRC Test Team rider, Takaaki Nakagami, made his return to MotoGP this weekend and was back inside the points. The Japanese rider was able to finish in sixth place, which was his best result since the 2021 Styrian Grand Prix.
Raul Fernandez was inside the top ten for the first time this season on the Trackhouse Aprilia. The Spaniard crossed the line in seventh place and was the top Aprilia rider.
Fabio di Giannantonio and the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team had to settle for eighth place in the wet conditions.
Completing the top ten were two Aprilia riders, Lorenzo Savadori finished in ninth place and Ai Ogura was in tenth.
