MotoGP Great Britain, Free Practice One Results | Marc Marquez topped the timesheets in the opening session

The first Practice session of the weekend saw Marc Marquez claim top spot at the Silverstone Circuit.

Marc Marquez led the way in the opening MotoGP session of the weekend for the Ducati Lenovo Team. The Spaniard was 0.365 seconds ahead of the field in Free Practice One at the British Grand Prix.

In his last flying lap of the weekend, Franco Morbidelli was able to get himself into second place on the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Ducati GP24.

Alex Marquez completed a Ducati 1-2-3 in the opening session of the weekend. The Spaniard was in third place on the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP Ducati.

The top Aprilia rider at the end of Free Practice One was Marco Bezzecchi, as he ended the first Practice session in fourth on the RS-GP.

Jack Miller was the top Yamaha rider as he ended the session in fifth place on the Prima Pramac Racing Yamaha M1.

Outside of the top five was the top KTM rider as Maverick Vinales put himself in sixth place on the Red Bull KTM Tech3 machine.

Both of the Monster Energy Yamaha riders were able to end the opening session in the top ten. Fabio Quartararo ended the session in seventh place, and Alex Rins was able to finish in ninth.

Two-time MotoGP World Champions, Francesco Bagnaia, was in between the two factory Yamaha riders. The Italian rider was in eighth place on the factory Ducati Lenovo machine.

Completing the top ten was Pedro Acosta on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing machine.
