MotoGP Great Britain, Practice Results | Alex Marquez set a new all-time lap record

Alex Marquez ended the opening day of the weekend at the Silverstone Circuit with a new all-time lap record.

In the final session of the day, it was Alex Marquez on top of the timesheets at the British Grand Prix. The Spaniard set a new all-time lap record at the Silverstone Circuit on the BK8 Gresini Racing Ducati.

Yamaha managed to end the day in second and third place on the timesheets. It was Fabio Quartararo in second on the Monster Energy Yamaha, then in third was Jack Miller on the Prima Pramac Racing machine.

Marc Marquez ended his day in fourth place on the Ducati Lenovo GP25, after topping the opening session of the weekend, the older Marquez brother had to watch his younger brother set the pace in the afternoon.

Marco Bezzecchi was the top Aprilia rider in the final session of Day One as he took the Aprilia Racing machine to fifth place.

Fabio di Giannantonio was able to get through to Q2 as he put the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team machine into sixth place.

Francesco Bagnaia left it late but was able to solidify his position in Q2. The two-time MotoGP World Champion had to follow Bezzecchi for his best lap but finished the day in seventh.

The top Honda rider at the end of Friday was Johann Zarco on the LCR Honda Castrol machine in eighth place.

Alex Rins was the third Yamaha rider to get a Q2 place on Friday at the Silverstone Circuit as he ended his day in ninth.

Completing the top ten was Fermin Aldeguer on the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP machine.
