For the eighth time this season, Marc Marquez claimed victory in the MotoGP Sprint Race for the factory Ducati squad.
Marc Marquez was able to claim Sprint Race victory for Ducati at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello. The Spaniard led a Ducati 1-2-3 at their home race as he secured his eighth Sprint win of the season.
BK8 Gresini Racing were in second place as Alex Marquez crossed the line 1.441 seconds behind his older brother.
Francesco Bagnaia completed the all-Ducati podium as he crossed the line in third place, but was 2.561 seconds behind Marc Marquez.
The top non-Ducati rider was Maverick Vinales from the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad. Vinales crossed the line in fourth place and showed great race pace, and will be in the fight on Sunday.
Fabio di Giannantonio was able to claim a fifth-place finish for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team at their home race.
The top Aprilia rider in the Sprint Race at Mugello was Marco Bezzecchi who finished in sixth place while missing a front wing.
Franco Morbidelli was the fifth Ducati and fourth Italian rider inside the top ten at Mugello as he finished the Sprint Race in seventh.
Raul Fernandez was able to score points on Saturday as he finished in eighth place for the Trackhouse Racing squad.
Taking the final point was Fermin Aldeguer on the BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP machine.
