Marco Bezzecchi will start from pole position at the Portuguese Grand Prix as he secured his fourth pole of the season.
For the fourth time in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship, Marco Bezzecchi claimed pole position as he had a 0.150-second advantage over the rest of the field around the Portimao circuit.
In the middle of the front row will be the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, Pedro Acosta. The Spaniard is still searching for his first Grand Prix victory, and a front-row start at Portimao will aid him this weekend.
After progressing through Q1, Fabio Quartararo was able to qualify on the front row of the grid as he ended Q2 in third place for the Monster Energy Yamaha squad.
The two-time MotoGP World Champion, Francesco Bagnaia, will start from the head of the second row after qualifying in fourth place on the grid for the factory Ducati squad.
Alex Marquez topped both Practice sessions on Friday, but was not able to qualify on the front row. However, he will start from the middle of the second row of the grid in fifth place.
Rounding out the second row of the grid will be the top Honda rider, Johann Zarco. The LCR Honda Castrol rider has struggled in recent Grands Prix, but appears to be back on form this weekend.
The Honda HRC Castrol rider, Joan Mir, will head the third row of the grid after qualifying in seventh place on the Honda RC213V.
Jack Miller had to progress through Q1, but was then able to secure a third row grid position as he qualified in eighth place for the Prima Pramac Racing squad.
The third Yamaha rider inside the top ten on the grid is the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, Fabio di Giannantonio, who will start from ninth place.
Completing the top ten on the grid is the Red Bull KTM Tech3 replacement rider and KTM Test Rider, Pol Espargaro.
