The MotoGP World Championship resumes this weekend at the Dutch TT after almost a month off following the Italian Grand Prix. In Moto2, it means a return to the scene of his first Grand Prix victory for Jake Dixon.
The British rider's win at the Dutch TT a year ago prompted serious discussion about a potential MotoGP move. When that didn't materialise, he remained at Aspar in its switch to CFMoto branding and, as part of the Pierer Mobility Group, from Ohlins suspension to WP.

That latter change has been a challenge for all of the Pierer Mobility Group's Moto2 teams, but Dixon is the only one of the Austrian company's riders to finish on the podium in the intermediate class this year with his third place at the Catalan Grand Prix.
Perhaps because of the continuing challenge of making the WP suspension work, Dixon insists that now is not the time to look back to his success of a last year.
“We come back to the track in a special place for me, where one year ago today I won my first Moto2 race," he said. "But this is not the time to look back: we have to keep working hard, because we have shown we can do it, and this weekend we are going to try again.”
Dixon's CFMoto Aspar teammate, Izan Guevara, has seen improving results throughout 2024 so far, his performances achieving top 10s in two of the last three races, including a season-best eighth in Italy.
Ahead of the Dutch TT, Guevara said: “I have been able to disconnect and train during this three-week break. I really want to compete in Assen, especially after the great result I achieved in Mugello. I want to continue improving and have a good weekend. The goal for this GP will be to fight in the leading group because I think we are able to do it.”
