Sergio Garcia will stay with the MT Helmets - MSi Moto2 squad in 2025, alongside current Moto3 rider Ivan Ortola.
Despite leading the Moto2 Championship heading into the Austrian Grand Prix, Sergio Garcia will remain in Moto2 for 2025. The Spaniard joined the team at the start of the 2024 season, and so far has won two races and had three further podiums.
Despite rumours that he could join Pramac Yamaha, the 21-year-old will not get a move up to MotoGP next year. However, a third year in Moto2 gives Garcia another chance to prove his craft before moving into the premier class.
With Ai Ogura leaving the MT Helmets - MSi squad to go to Trackhouse Racing in MotoGP next year the team needed a new rider.
MT Helmets - MSi has opted to promote from within their ranks, Ivan Ortola will move up from the Moto3 team into their Moto2 squad. The 20-year-old is second in the Moto3 Championship with two wins and four further podiums.
