MotorLand Aragon will continue to host the World Superbike Championship until 2027, after the signing of a new agreement between the Aragon government and WorldSBK promoter, Dorna.
MotorLand first appeared on the WorldSBK calendar back in 2011, one year after it made its international motorcycle racing debut with the MotoGP Grand Prix of Aragon in 2010.

Since then, Aragon has never left WorldSBK, most recently hosting the 2023 Aragon Round last September. This year, WorldSBK will host round 10 of the 2024 season on 27-29 September, one week after the inaugural race at the Cremona Circuit in Italy.
The signing of a new three-year contract for MotorLand will keep WorldSBK at the Aragon venue - which has recently been resurfaced, with new kerbs and also new paint applied to the run-off areas - until 2027.
On the signing of the new contract between Dorna Sports and the Aragon government, Gregorio Lavilla, WorldSBK Executive Director, said: "We are delighted to secure the future of WorldSBK at MotorLand Aragon. Its spectacular layout makes it a favourite among motorcycle fans, producing thrilling races and presenting a significant challenge to all competitors. Additionally, the venue boasts excellent facilities overall. The recent upgrades underscore MotorLand Aragon's and the region's commitment to supporting world-class racing."
Manuel Blasco, MotorLand Aragon President, added: "With this new three-year contract, we provide stability to the circuit's calendar. This event is very important for the image of Aragon, as it brings nearly 30,000 attendees to our facilities. We are also very satisfied with the resurfacing of the circuit, which ensures that MotorLand meets the highest quality standards for welcoming our visitors."
