Cadwell Park marks the final stop on the 2026 BSB calendar before the Showdown portion of the season begins, and Kyle Ryde is determined to leave with more silverware.
Ryde has dominated the 2026 BSB season so far, winning at least one race at every circuit so far and finishing on the podium in 20 of 21 races – a fourth in Race 2 at Thruxton being his only finish so far this year outside the top-three.
The Nitrous Competitions Ducati rider carries a 47-point lead over Scott Redding into the eighth round of the season at Cadwell Park, a circuit that has seen him on the podium in eight of the last nine BSB races there, including three wins in the last two years.
“I am looking forward to Cadwell Park, it’s always a special weekend for riders, teams and the fans to come and watch,” Ryde told BritishSuperbike.com ahead of round eight.
“Hopefully we get loads of fans there this weekend!
“I am looking forward to Superpole, as we only do it once a year and we have a lot of track time with the test to start things off, so that’s good as it is still a new bike for me around that track.
“It won’t be easy, it took me a few years to get used to the Yamaha around there and then eventually it became one of my best tracks somehow.
“I never used to get on with it, but the last couple of seasons it has been a good track for me, so whatever is thrown at us, I am sure we will be okay.
“We want a few more trophies hopefully, so we can build the championship ready for the Showdown.”
