It was Toprak Razgatlioglu who dominated the opening session of the weekend despite multiple red flags.
Despite multiple red flags during the opening World Superbike session of the weekend, it was Toprak Razgatlioglu who took top spot. The Turkish rider was by far the fastest in Free Practice One, and this weekend looks like his to lose.
Danilo Petrucci ended the session in second place on the Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati. However, the Italian rider was 0.554 seconds behind Razgatlioglu's best lap time.
Alvaro Bautista's recent run of form has continued at Autodrom Most as he was third on the timesheets. The Spaniard was 0.738 seconds behind Razgatlioglu's best lap time at the end of the session.
Sam Lowes has a point to prove at Most this season after suffering a shoulder injury at the circuit in 2024. The British rider was instantly on the pace and ended the morning in fourth place.
Despite a crash for Nicolo Bulega, he ended the session in fifth place on the factory Ducati. The Championship leader will be reviewed ahead of Free Practice Two due to right ankle and left knee contusions.
Michael van der Mark continued the run of Ducati and BMW riders inside the top six as he ended the morning in sixth on the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK machine.
The top Honda at the end of Free Practice One was Iker Lecuona, the Spaniard ended the session in seventh place, but was 0.948 seconds behind Razgatlioglu.
Andrea Locatelli was the fastest Yamaha rider as he ended the morning in eighth, but he caused the final red flag after suffering a big highside.
Bahattin Sofuoglu featured inside the top ten in Free Practice One on the Motoxracing Yamaha. The Turkish rider went under the radar during the session and ended up in ninth.
Completing the top ten was the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team rider of Axel Bassani.
