Jonathan Rea returns to the top of a World Superbike timesheet as he sets the pace on Saturday morning at Estoril.
In a damp Saturday morning Free Practice Three session it was Jonathan Rea who topped the timesheets. The six-time World Champion has had some of his best results of the 2024 season in wet and damp conditions.
Danilo Petrucci has set an excellent pace this weekend in wet and dry conditions at Estoril. The Italian rider has been inside the top three in all three sessions.
On Friday it was Toprak Razgatlioglu who set the pace as he topped Free Practice One and Two. However, on Saturday morning the Turkish rider slid down the order to third place. Behind Razgatlioglu was his Dutch teammate, Michael van der Mark in fourth place.
Rounding out the top five was the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati rider Alvaro Bautista. The Spaniard's wet pace has improved throughout the 2024 season after struggling earlier in the year.
In sixth place at the end of Free Practice Three was Andrea Locatelli. The Italian rider was the second Pata Prometeon Racing rider in the top ten after a difficult year for the team.
The top Honda in the damp morning session was Team HRC rider, Xavi Vierge. The Spaniard ended Free Practice Three in seventh place on the timesheets.
Motocorsa Ducati rider, Michael Ruben Rinaldi, was inside the top ten on Saturday morning. The Italian ended the session in eighth place on the Ducati Panigale V4 R.
Championship challenger, Nicolo Bulega, ended Free Practice Three in ninth place. The Italian rider needs to fight for victory in all of the races this weekend to have a chance to win the title.
Completing the top ten was Remy Gardner in tenth place. The Australian rider has had a difficult weekend in both the wet and dry conditions.
