Estoril WorldSBK, Superpole Results | Toprak Razgatlioglu smashes the lap record at Estoril

Toprak Razgatlioglu smashed the all-time World Superbike lap record in the Superpole session at Estoril.

After setting a new World Superbike lap record at Estoril in Free Practice Three, Toprak Razgatlioglu went on to smash it again in the Superpole session as he claimed pole position.

Championship challenger Nicolo Bulega set his own lap record before it was snatched back by Razgatlioglu. The Italian will start from second on the grid for the factory Ducati squad.

Alvaro Bautista rounded out the front row of the grid and will start alongside his Aruba.it Racing - Ducati teammate.

British rider Alex Lowes will head the second row of the grid on the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team KB998 Rimini after qualifying in fourth place.

Xavi Vierge was the top Honda and the sole Honda inside the top ten as he qualified in the middle of the second row in fifth place on the CBR1000RR-R.

The top Yamaha rider was the six-time World Superbike Champion, Jonathan Rea, who qualified in sixth place on the factory Yamaha R1.

Yamaha heads the third row of the grid as the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team rider, Remy Gardner, qualified in seventh place, and the Pata Maxus Yamaha rider, Andrea Locatelli, qualified in eighth.

The third row of the grid was rounded out by the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team rider, Axel Bassani, who will start from ninth place.

Completing the top ten on the grid was the Team Pata GoEleven Ducati rider, Andrea Iannone.

Two British riders missed out on the top ten with Ryan Vickers qualifying in 11th place and Tarran Mackenzie qualifying in 14th.
