Hungary WorldSBK, Free Practice Two Results | Sam Lowes set the pace on day one

Sam Lowes was at the top of the timesheets at the end of the opening day of Practice at the Balaton Park Circuit.

On the opening day at the Balaton Park Circuit, it was Sam Lowes who topped the timesheets for the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team on the Ducati Panigale V4 R.

Toprak Razgatlioglu was in second place for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team. However, the Turkish rider was 0.446 seconds behind Lowes on the timesheets.

Andrea Iannone started the day in third and ended it in third. The Italian and the new Hungarian circuit have gelled across the opening day of Practice.

Despite his negative comments about the Balaton Park Circuit, Iker Lecuona continues to be at the sharp end as he ended up in fourth place.

With a new two-year deal in his back pocket, Remy Gardner was the top Yamaha at the end of Day One as he finished in fifth place.

Alvaro Bautista was just outside of the top five as he put the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati in sixth place on the timesheets.

After finishing in seventh in the morning, Alex Lowes was in seventh place on the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team machine in the afternoon.

Ryan Vickers was back in the top ten in Free Practice Two as the British rider ended his day in eighth place on the Motocorsa Racing Ducati.

Championship challenger, Nicolo Bulega, found himself down in ninth on Friday afternoon as he was over a second behind Sam Lowes.

Completing the top ten was the Pata Maxus Yamaha rider, Andrea Locatelli.

British riders, Jonathan Rea and Tarran Mackenzie missed out on the top ten as they ended up in 16th and 21st places.
