For the fifth time this season, Nicolo Bulega has won a Superbike race as he dominated at his home round.
Nicolo Bulega put on a dominant show at his home round as he claimed his fifth win of the 2025 World Superbike season. The Italian put Ducati on the top step of the podium in Race One of the Italian Round.
Toprak Razgatlioglu put up a good fight against his title rival, but could not match him in the second half of the race. The Turkish rider was 2.835 seconds behind Bulega at the finish line as he had to settle for second.
Completing the podium was the second factory Ducati rider of Alvaro Bautista. The Spaniard was 11.424 seconds behind his teammate at the end of the race, but managed to get back on the podium.
Despite the lack of battling at the front in the latter laps there was fighting for fourth place. In the end it was Andrea Iannone who managed to cross the line in fourth on the Team Pata GoEleven Ducati.
The top Honda rider was Xavi Vierge as he completed the top five on the Honda CBR1000RR-R. Just behind the Honda was the top Yamaha of Remy Gardner as the Australian crossed the line in sixth.
Danilo Petrucci could not match his performance at Cremona in 2024 as he finished in seventh place. He was 24.757 seconds off of Bulega and from fighting for victory for the second year in a row.
Michael van der Mark was inside the top ten on the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK machine. The Dutch rider ended the opening race of the weekend in eighth.
The top bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team rider was Axel Bassani as he crossed the line in ninth and got the better of his teammate, who finished in 11th.
Completing the top ten was the top British rider of Scott Redding on the MGM Bonovo Ducati.
The remaining five British riders missed out on the top ten: Alex and Sam Lowes were in 11th and 12th, Ryan Vickers failed to score points as he finished in 16th, Jonathan Rea ended his comeback race in 19th and Tarran Mackenzie failed to finish.
