Magny-Cours WorldSBK, Free Practice Two Results | Michael van der Mark ends Day One on top, Razgatlioglu ends up in the medical centre

Gold and Goose

After Toprak Razgatlioglu suffered a massive crash in FP2, Michael van der Mark capitalised by claiming top spot.

Toprak Razgatlioglu looked untouchable in the Friday morning Free Practice One session. However, a lot can change in a day as the Turkish rider suffered a massive crash in Free Practice Two.

In the absence of his teammate Michael van der Mark took the opportunity and grabbed the top spot. The Dutchman was inside the top three in the morning and is building towards a brilliant weekend.

The top Ducati in Free Practice Two was Nicolo Bulega in second place. The Italian rider ended FP1 in fourth and moved up to second in the afternoon.

Garrett Gerloff is once again inside the top three. The American rider finished second in FP1 and like van der Mark is building towards a strong weekend.

The top Kawasaki was once again Alex Lowes. The British rider finished in sixth place on Friday morning and moved up to fourth in the afternoon.

Fifth and sixth were occupied by Ducati riders. In fifth was the Barni Spark Ducati rider of Danilo Petrucci with Alvaro Bautista in sixth.

The top Yamaha rider was Jonathan Rea yet again. The six-time World Champion finished in seventh place, exactly where he was in FP1.

In eighth and ninth place were Lowes and Rea's teammates with Axel Bassanio in eighth and Andrea Locatelli in ninth.

The third BMW inside the top ten was Scott Redding. The BMW is clearly working incredibly well around the Magny-Cours circuit.

There were three British riders outside the top ten with Sam Lowes in 13th, Bradley Ray in 18th and Tarran Mackenzie in 21st.
