Emilia-Romagna WorldSBK, Free Practice One Results | Toprak Razgatlioglu held off Ducati in the opening session

BMW and Toprak Razgatlioglu were able to hold off Ducati as they took top spot in Free Practice One at Misano.

In the first Free Practice session of the weekend, it was Toprak Razgatlioglu who took top spot as he denied Ducati at their home circuit.

Behind the BMW were the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati riders, Nicolo Bulega, found himself in second place with Alvaro Bautista close behind in third.

The top Yamaha rider in the opening World Superbike session of the weekend was Remy Gardner from the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team; the Australian was 0.638 seconds behind Razgatlioglu.

Completing the top five positions was Axel Bassani on the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team KB998 Rimini. The Italian rider led the way for the Italian manufacturer at their 'true home event'.

Iker Lecuona was the top Honda as all expectations lay on his shoulders this weekend for the Japanese manufacturer. The Spaniard ended the session in seventh place on the Honda CBR1000RR-R, but he was 0.859 seconds behind Razgatlioglu.

Sam Lowes continued his consistent run and found himself inside the top ten as he ended up in eighth on the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati.

Yamaha was able to round out the top ten with Dominique Aegerter in ninth place and Andrea Locatelli in tenth.

There were five British riders outside of the top ten, with Alex Lowes in 12th, Scott Redding in 16th, Jonathan Rea in 17th, Ryan Vickers in 18th, and Tarran Mackenzie in 21st.
