In a tense and tactical qualifying session, Francesco Bagnaia claimed pole position, with his title rival Jorge Martin starting from fourth.
Francesco Bagnaia claims first blood on Saturday as he secures pole position for the Solidarity Grand Prix. The Italian rider went about his business and will start from the front of the grid for the Sprint Race and the Grand Prix.
Aprilia Racing rider, Aleix Espargaro, will start from second place on the grid. The Spaniard is in his last home race but will most likely get involved in the title fight this weekend.
Marc Marquez followed his future teammate, Bagnaia, around in Qualifying and made his way into third. The Spaniard will want to win this weekend, but his allegiances now lie with Ducati, who wants to keep the #1 plate for 2025.
At the head of the second row is the MotoGP Championship leader, Jorge Martin. The Spaniard has a 24-point advantage but has looked wobbly all weekend as the pressure rises on throughout the weekend.
Franco Morbidelli followed Bagnaia and Marquez in Q2 as he searched for a competitive lap time. The Italian rider will start from fifth place and will most likely try to help Bagnaia in the races.
The top KTM in qualifying was Pedro Acosta as he put his GasGas Factory Racing Tech3 machine in sixth place on the grid.
Maverick Vinales will head the third row as he put his Aprilia Racing machine in seventh place.
Ducati Lenovo Team rider, Enea Bastianini, qualified down in eighth place and has not looked at the races this weekend.
Marco Bezzecchi completed the third row for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. After ending Friday at the sharp end the Italian has struggled so far on Saturday.
Monster Energy Yamaha got one rider inside the top ten as Fabio Quartararo qualified in tenth place.
