Results from the pre-qualifying session at the May 2026 Oulton Park BSB round.

Kyle Ryde remained on top and got back into the 1:32s for the first time this weekend in pre-qualifying. Ryde had been the only rider in the 1:32s in testing, and it was the same case in pre-qualifying.

As in FP2 it was Bradley Ray who was closest to Ryde and the McAMS Yamaha rider was only 0.009 seconds away from a 1:32 lap time himself.

Leon Haslam and Storm Stacey were third and fourth, respectively, but neither was within half-a-second of Ryde. Bimota's Max Cook was 0.033 seconds behind Stacey in fifth.

Scott Redding wasn't inside the top-10 in either free practice, but got up to sixth in pre-qualifying, albeit half-a-second off the time he managed in testing.

Danny Kent, Rory Skinner, Christian Iddon, and Ryan Vickers completed the top-10, while Lee Jackson and Charlie Nesbitt took the final two Q2 spots for tomorrow.

Free Practice

Kyle Ryde topped FP2 in Oulton Park on the opening day of the 2026 BSB season but it was Bradley Ray who ended free practice with the fastest time ahead of pre-qualifying.

Ray was a tenth slower than Ryde in FP2 but his FP1 time was almost 0.3 seconds faster than he managed in the test just over a week ago.

Max Cook put the Bimota in the top-three in the afternoon session after ending FP1 sixth, improving by half-a-second in the afternoon.

Glenn Irwin was fourth-fastest and around 0.4 seconds behind his teammate, Ryde, in FP2, but he was marginally faster in FP1.

Honda's Ryan Vickers made it four different manufacturers in the top-five with a 1:33.851, a 0.5-second improvement over his FP1 time.

Two more Ducatis were behind Vickers with Storm Stacey sixth and Leon Haslam seventh, although both were faster in FP1.

Rory Skinner, Danny Kent, and Charlie Nesbitt completed the top-10 for FP2, all improving by a few tenths compared to their respective FP1 times.
