BSB Cadwell Park, Qualifying Results | O'Halloran claims his first Kawasaki pole, Vickers and Bridewell crash in Q2

Impact Images

Jason O'Halloran secures a surprise pole position at Cadwell Park, whilst Championship challengers crash out of the session.

Spots of rain ended the chance of a classic Superpole Session taking place as the normal Qualifying format took place. Despite the raindrops falling in Q1 it did not slow the riders down as Qualifying went on.

Coming into the weekend Jason O'Halloran was walking wounded. But the Australian showed no sign of any injuries in Qualifying as he put his Completely Motorbikes Kawasaki on pole.

Kyle Ryde has flown under the radar this weekend so far but is well and truly on the map now. The Yamaha rider has put his OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing in second place.

The MasterMac Honda riders secured third and fourth places on the grid. Charlie Nesbitt put his Honda on the back of the front row in third with Lee Jackson heading the second row in fourth.

Even though he had a slower start to the weekend Glenn Irwin returned to the sharp end in Qualifying. The Ducati rider has put his Hager PBM machine in fifth place.

The top BMW on the grid is the veteran rider of Leon Haslam. The ROKiT Haslam Racing BMW Motorrad rider came through Q1 with Irwin and will start from the back of the second row.

Two riders who love Cadwell head row three with Danny Buchan in seventh on the DAO Racing Kawasaki and Josh Brookes in eighth on the FHO Racing BMW machine.

Billy McConnell set the pace early on in Q2 but the Australian fell down the order but will start from ninth.

Rounding out the top ten is Christian Iddon after Danny Kent got demoted three places due to a penalty in FP3.

Two of the Championship favourites, Tommy Bridewell and Ryan Vickers, will start from outside the top ten. Bridewell will start from 13th and Vickers will start from 14th, both riders crashed during Q2.
