Kyle Ryde ends Friday on top of the British Superbike timesheets as he continues his title fight.
The OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing Team secured the top spot on Friday at Donington Park. Kyle Ryde claimed the top spot as he continues to fight for the 2024 British Superbike Championship.
In second place was the second OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing rider, Ryan Vickers. The Yamaha rider was nearly half a second behind his teammate at the top of the timesheets.
The top Ducati rider was Christian Iddon in third place on the Oxford Products Racing Ducati. Iddon is still in the BSB title fight, but it is an outside chance.
The BSB Championship leader, Tommy Bridewell, ended the day in fourth place. Bridewell is nearly eight-tenths behind his closest rival, Ryde.
Rounding out the top five was Charlie Nesbitt on the MasterMac Honda. Nesbitt is searching for good results after not finishing a race at Oulton Park last time out.
In sixth place was the third and final Yamaha of Danny Kent. The McAMS Racing rider is still searching for his first BSB win, something he could challenge for this weekend.
Andrew Irwin ended the day in seventh place on his Honda Racing UK machine. Just behind Irwin was the ROKiT Haslam Racing BMW rider of Leon Haslam in eighth place.
In ninth place was Glenn Irwin, the Hager PBM Ducati rider is third in the Championship and will need to up his pace to match his rivals.
Completing the top ten on Friday was Lee Jackson in tenth place. Josh Brookes and Billy McConnell will feature in Saturday's Qualifying Two session after finishing 11th and 12th.
