The 2024 British Superbike title fight continues as Glenn Irwin takes victory at Donington Park.
Glenn Irwin keeps himself in the 2024 British Superbike Championship fight with a crucial win. The Hager PBM Ducati rider secured his eighth win of the 2024 season and his second win at Donington Park in 2024.
Two races down at Donington Park and two second places for Tommy Bridewell. The Honda Racing UK rider has missed out on victory in both races this weekend but kept hold of his Championship lead.
Kyle Ryde dominated the opening race of the weekend on Saturday, but it was not meant to be in Race Two. The OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing rider struggled in places that he did not on Saturday and ended up finishing in third.
Just off the podium was Danny Kent in fourth place on his McAMS Racing Yamaha. The former Moto3 Champion was in podium contention but did not interfere with the title fight ahead of him.
Charlie Nesbitt is becoming a regular front-runner in British Superbikes as he finished fifth in Race Two. The MasterMac Honda rider has had a great weekend so far with a sixth and a fifth-place finish.
Behind Nesbitt were two more Honda riders who finished just outside of the top five. Andrew Irwin finished in sixth place on the Honda Racing UK machine. Then two seconds behind was Lee Jackson in seventh place on the MasterMac Honda.
Christian Iddon took his Oxford Products Racing Ducati to an eighth-place finish at Donington Park. Max Cook was the only Kawasaki rider to crack the top ten as he finished in ninth.
Rounding out the top ten was Josh Brookes, who was the only BMW rider inside the top ten in Race Two.
