Kyle Ryde will start the opening British Superbike (BSB) race of the weekend from pole position.
The first round of the British Superbikes Showdown is underway as the hunt for the 2024 title heats up. With three races this weekend at Oulton Park the Qualifying session would be crucial for Race One of the weekend.
The man who snatched pole position at the chequered flag was Kyle Ryde. The OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing rider jumped up the order in the final moments. Ryde is currently second in the Championship and is 19 points behind the Championship leader.
Josh Brookes is back on a British Superbike front row at Oulton Park as he qualified in second. The 2024 season has been a letdown for the two-time BSB Champion but as silly season begins Brookes is back in action.
Rounding out the front row is the reigning Champion and the Championship leader, Tommy Bridewell. The Honda Racing UK rider has had a difficult weekend until now but when it counted Bridewell jumped into third.
Despite an issue at the end of the session, Glenn Irwin managed to hang on to the second row. The Hager PBM Ducati rider is 60 points behind Bridewell in the standings and will start from fourth place in the opening race.
The MasterMac Honda riders complete the second row as Charlie Nesbitt, who had set the pace until Qualifying, will start from fifth. Lee Jackson will start from the back of the second row in sixth place.
After a terrible time at Cadwell Park Ryan Vickers will start from seventh place at Oulton Park. The pace has not come as easy to Vickers this weekend but he is still in sight of the leaders.
At the back of the third row are Leon Haslam and Danny Kent in eighth and ninth places. The BMW and Yamaha rider can mathematically win the title, but they would need a miracle throughout the showdown.
Completing the top ten is Christian Iddon in tenth place as he heads the fourth row of the grid.
