Davey Todd will make a return to the British Superbike Championship at this weekend’s upcoming ninth round of the season as a deputy for Danny Buchan at SYNETIQ BMW.
It will be Todd’s first appearance in the Superbike class since Round 3 at Donington Park - races he failed to start - and comes following his split with Milenco by Padgetts Honda.
It’s an exit that has also since led to a deal to join TAS Racing (SYNETIQ) for a roads campaign in 2024.
He takes over from Buchan this weekend, the Essex rider having been forced out of action after suffering injuries in an accident in the lead up to the Cadwell Park BSB races.
“I really can’t wait to ride. I feel for Danny having to miss out, but this gives me a great opportunity to make my debut for TAS Racing on the SYNETIQ BMW, and no better place than the British Superbike Championship.
“It’s a great chance to get some race miles under my belt with the team and the Oulton Park circuit has a bit of everything and somewhere I enjoy racing.”
