The official entry lists for the 2024 Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships has been revealed with three riders flying the flag for Great Britain in the Grand Prix feeder categories.
Since the UK hasn't had a full-time premier class representative in MotoGP since Cal Crutchlow's retirement at the end of the 2020 MotoGP season, it is again up to Jake Dixon to lead the slim British contingent on the GP stage.
Fortunately, the GasGas Aspar Team rider surely starts the 2024 Moto2 season as a hot favourite for title success after his breakthrough 2023 campaign that yielded two wins and a run to fourth in the final standings.
However, he will face tough competition from the two riders who finished above him, Tony Arbolino and Fermin Aldeguer, the latter of which became only the second rider in Moto2 history to win four consecutive races to finish the season. They also stick with the same teams for 2024, Marc VDS Racing and Speed Up Racing respectively.
Other riders returning for 2024 but doing so with new teams include Celestino Vietti (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Aron Canet (Fantic Racing), Filip Salac (Marc VDS Racing), Manuel Gonzalez (QJMotor Gresini Racing), Alonso Lopez (Speed Up Racing), plus Somkiat Chantra who stays with IDEMITSU Honda Asia.
Newcomers stepping up from Moto3 to keep an eye on include Deniz Oncu (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Ayumu Sasaki (Correos Prepago VR46 MasterCamp), Diogo Moreira (Italtrans), Jaume Masia (SAG) and Xavier Artigas (Forward Racing).
Then there is European Moto2 Champion Senna Agius, who after several guest outings over the past two seasons gets a full-time deal with Husqvarna Intact GP, while the incoming MT Helmets - MSI team - which has signed Ai Ogura and Sergio Garcia for its debut - replaces Pons Racing and will switch to run the Boscoscuro.
Alas, there the British representation in Moto2 has dropped from three to just one with Sam Lowes bound for WorldSBK, while Rory Skinner's future remains uncertain after he was dropped by American Racing with a year on his contract still left to run.

2024 Moto3 World Championship
Over in Moto3, meanwhile, the graduation of Masia, Sasaki, Oncu and Moreira opens the door for a new band of riders to form the front-running title contenders in 2024.
Highest-placed returnee will be David Alonso, who will hope to convert the four wins from his rookie season into a title charge next year, once again with the GasGas Aspar Team, though he is likely to face competition from Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech 3), Collin Veijer (Husqvarna Intact GP), Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and David Munoz (BOE Motorsports).
Those changing teams include Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets - MSI), Filippo Farioli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Tatsuki Suzuki (Husqvarna Intact GP).
Of the rookies to watch out for, Moto3 European Championship leader Angel Piqueras steps up with Leopard Racing, as well as his closest title rival Luca Lunetta comes in at SIC58 Squadra Corse, plus other front runners Xabier Zurutuza (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Jacob Roulstone (Red Bull KTM Tech3) and Joel Esteban (GasGas Aspar).
Finally, the British talent-nurturing MLav Racing reverts to its originally name on the entry list in a nod to founder, ex-MotoGP and BSB rider Michael Laverty, and continue with Scott Ogden and Joshua Whatley.
