Randy Krummenacher collected his maiden MotoE World Championship victory after conquering treacherous conditions at Silverstone to win the opening race of the weekend.

The 2019 WorldSSP Champion - in his first season of MotoE after replacing Dominique Aegerter in the IntactGP team - survived a spirited challenge from wet weather specialist Kevin Manfredi to take the line for victory.

Starting from sixth on the grid, Krummenacher picked his way into the lead for the first time on lap two of five via a bold outside sweep into Stowe. His pass coincided with team-mate Hector Garzo also passing pole sitter and early leader Eric Granado, the IntactGP duo's pincer movement lifting them into a 1-2.

Garzo took the fight to Krummenacher on lap three with a neat pass into Vale, the Swiss rider briefly demoted to third when a charging Manfredi shuffled through into Club.

In the context of the MotoE title fight, Jordi Torres extended his series to after coming home a safe fifth, comfortably ahead of Matteo Ferrari, who could only manage eighth after losing time with a long lap penalty.
