After four years as the top KTM MotoGP rider has Brad Binder's time at the top come to an end?
Brad Binder has now been in MotoGP for five years and for the majority of his time in the premier class he has been KTM's number one rider. However, the 2024 season may have seen his time at the top of the KTM pecking order end.
The South African rider was once again a consistent MotoGP rider and was the top non-Ducati rider in the standings. But it came down to the final race of the season where he had to fight off his rookie KTM rival.

During the 2024 season, Binder made two visits to a MotoGP podium in the same round. The 29-year-old finished in second place in the Qatar Grand Prix and Sprint Race, which was the opening race of the year. After Round One, Binder would not venture back onto the podium.
Binder may not have won a Grand Prix since the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix, but he was a consistent rider in 2024. He finished all but two Grands Prix, but his Sprint Race performances were rather lacklustre. Binder ended the 2024 Championship in fifth place only two points ahead of rookie rival, Pedro Acosta.
Binder will remain with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team in 2025, but there will be extra pressure on the veteran rider. If Binder gets beaten by Acosta in his first year as a factory KTM rider questions will be asked of the South African.
