Jaume Masia held onto his spot at the head of the combined French Moto3 Practice timesheets after damp conditions ruled out any potential gains over the Friday benchmarks at Le Mans.
The Spaniard went to the top of the classification in the closing stages of Practice 2, his effort of 1m 41.816s plenty enough to hold firm on Saturday morning as cool conditions and earlier rain ensured a slick track throughout P3.
With lap times down by more than 12secs, it means there was no change in the overall order with Leopard Racing's Masia leading Ayumu Sasaki (Husqvarna IntactGP), Xavier Artigas (CFMoto PruestelGP), Romano Fenati (Rivacold Snipers) and Daniel Holgado (Tech3 KTM).
The P3 session itself was headed up by Andre Migno on the CIP Green Power KTM, ahead of Syarifuddin Azman (MT Helmets - MSi) and Holgado.
Unsurprisingly, the tricky conditions caught out multiple riders, including Ivan Ortola, the Spaniard - a winner most recently at COTA and in Jerez - suffering his third tumble of the weekend, while championship leader Holgado also hit the deck.
Among the Brits, Joshua Whatley was another to crash after a high-side at Turn 14 flicked him over the front of his VisionTrack Honda. Team-mate Scott Ogden - who achieved his best Moto3 finish of fifth place in similar conditions - was seventh, but was denied a shot at making it into Q2 automatically after ending the three practice sessions 15th overall.
