Jorge Martin's injury crisis continues as he will reportedly undergo surgery on his left hand after a training crash.
The wait to see Jorge Martin in factory Aprilia colours could continue as he will reportedly miss the Thai Grand Prix this weekend.
The Spaniard fractured his right hand and left foot during the Sepang MotoGP Test earlier this month. However, Motorsport.com is now reporting that he fractured his left hand in a training crash on Monday.
According to the reports the reigning MotoGP World Champion will undergo surgery on Tuesday [25th of February].
It was originally expected that Martin would attempt to participate in the Thai Grand Prix. However, it now looks like he will miss the opening round of the season.
Lorenzo Savadori is expected to replace Martin this weekend at the Chang International Circuit.
Martin will now attempt to recover in time for Round Two of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship. The second round will take place in Argentina and will begin on the 14th of March.
