For the first time this season, Aron Canet is a Moto2 race winner, as he snatched victory at the Qatar Grand Prix.
Aron Canet has taken control of the Moto2 World Championship after claiming his first win of the 2025 season at the Qatar Grand Prix. The Spaniard won by 1.103 seconds and took the lead of the race in the latter laps.
Deniz Oncu claimed his best result in the Moto2 World Championship. The Turkish rider led the majority of the race but had to settle for second place after being beaten by Canet.
Manuel Gonzalez returned to the podium after a difficult time at the Circuit of the Americas. The Spaniard ended the race in third place and was 1.286 seconds behind Canet.
Moto2 rookie Daniel Holgado was inside the top five for the first time this season as he finished his fourth race in the class in fourth.
Diogo Moreira had been struggling throughout the weekend, but when the race began, he was able to fight his way through the field and finished in fifth.
Barry Baltus narrowly missed out on a top five finish at the Qatar Grand Prix as he finished in sixth for the Fantic Racing Lino Sonego Team.
Celestino Vietti was another rider who struggled during Practice and Qualifying. However, he was able to finish the Grand Prix in seventh place as the top Boscoscuro rider.
The OnlyFans American Racing Team rider Marcos Ramirez featured inside the top ten as he finished in eighth.
Albert Arenas looked like he could have claimed so much more from the Qatar Grand Prix. However, he faded away in the latter laps and finished in ninth.
Completing the top ten was Filip Salac from the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team.
Jake Dixon did not finish the Qatar Grand Prix after crashing out of fifth place on the 13th lap of the race.
