Joel Kelso takes the top spot in the Saturday morning Moto3 Practice ahead of Qualifying.
On Friday afternoon Jose Antonio Rueda set the fastest lap time and a new Moto3 Lap Record. However, Saturday morning always gives the Moto3 riders another attempt at getting into the top 14 for a guaranteed spot in the second Qualifying session.
It was Joel Kelso who ended up taking the top spot heading into Qualifying. The Australian had a small crash towards the end of the session, but straight after set blisteringly fast lap times and secured first place.
David Alonso finished in second place in Friday Practice, a place that he held down on Saturday morning. The Colombian heads into Qualifying as the second-fastest Moto3 rider.
Friday's fastest rider, Jose Antonio Rueda, could not hold down the top spot. But did keep a top three place as he ends Practice in third.
Colin Veijer could not improve on his lap time from Friday in the Saturday morning session. The Dutch rider finished Practice in fourth overall.
The top Honda from Practice was the Leopard Racing rider of Angel Piqueras who finished in fifth. The Spaniard was the only Honda rider to get an automatic spot in the second Qualifying session.
Daniel Holgado improved on his lap times from Friday to move up from ninth to sixth place on the time sheets.
The top Italian rider in Moto3 Practice was Stefano Nepa. The LEVELUP - MTA rider finished Practice in seventh place.
David Munoz had a fiery start to the Saturday morning Practice session as he pulled off some close moves. However, the Spaniard backed it up and finished in eighth.
In ninth and tenth were the two MT Helmets - MSi riders of Ivan Ortola and Ryusei Yamanaka.
Rounding out the riders who are automatically going into the second Qualifying session are Joel Esteban, Jacob Roulstone, Xabi Zurutuza and Matteo Bertelle.
