David Alonso continues his incredible form in the 2024 Moto3 season as he wins his seventh race of the season.
After winning in Silverstone Ivan Ortola was supposed to start the Moto3 Austrian Grand Prix from pole position. However, Ortola had to go down pit lane so Joel Kelso technically started from pole.
After starting from sixth place and taking a long-lap penalty, David Alonso took his seventh win of the year. The CFMOTO Aspar rider has dominated the 2024 season and looks to be Moto2 bound for 2025.
The ever-aggressive David Munoz did not disappoint in the Austrian Grand Prix. The Spaniard took second place on the last lap but is still searching for his maiden Moto3 victory.
Daniel Holgado is back on the podium for the first time since the French Grand Prix. The Spaniard has had a difficult 2024 season but a podium at KTM's home race is a good showing for the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider.
Just off the podium was the top Honda rider, Angel Piqueras. The Spanish rider put on a good display for Honda at KTM's home circuit.
Completing the top five was the Dutch rider Colin Veijer. The Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP rider is Moto2 bound for 2025 but is not giving up on a chance at a Moto3 title before he moves up a class.
The next Honda in the top ten was Adrian Fernandez in sixth place. The Leopard Racing rider looked lost all weekend. However, when the lights went out he got stuck in with the lead group.
Jose Antonio Rueda finished in seventh place after not being able to battle with the leaders in the latter laps of the race.
Australian rider, Kelso, may have started from a technical pole position. However, after battling hard in the opening laps he fell back through the order to eighth later in the race.
After starting from pitlane instead of pole position was Ortola. However, the KTM rider fought hard through the field and finished in ninth.
Completing the top ten was Taiyo Furusato. The Japanese rider was in a tough five-rider group in a battle for ninth. However, he just held on to tenth despite a late long-lap penalty.
British rider, Scott Ogden, started from the back of the grid after being taken out in Qualifying. But the British rider had good pace and made his way up to 19th place at the end of the 20-lap race.
