Collin Veijer ends Friday at Mandalika on top as he pips the Honda riders for the top spot in Indonesia.
The first day of the MotoGP flyaway races has come to an end for the Moto3 riders. The junior class riders were the first to tackle the Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia.
Collin Veijer topped the Moto3 timesheets after the first two sessions of the weekend for the Moto3 riders. The Dutch rider has been falling behind in the Championship and needs to pull back some points on his rivals.
The Mandalika Circuit has brought the Honda riders into the fight during the opening sessions of the weekend. Adrian Fernandez was the top Honda rider and the top Leopard Racing rider at the end of the day.
The Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team have had one of their best Fridays of the season. David Almansa and Matteo Bertelle were both inside the top five as Almansa finished third and Bertelle finished fourth.
Completing the top five was the Italian rookie, Luca Lunetta from the SIC58 Squadra Corse squad.
Outside of the top five was Stefano Nepa from the LEVELUP - MTA squad in sixth place. The Italian needs a strong weekend as he has not featured inside the top ten since Silverstone.
After two difficult weekends at Misano Jose Antonio Rueda has been further up the order in Indonesia. The Spaniard ended his Friday in seventh place on the Red Bull KTM Ajo machine.
Angel Piqueras arrived in Indonesia in the best form of his Moto3 career after winning a race and finishing second in Misano. The Spanish rider ended the opening race in eighth place.
MT Helmets - MSi rider, Ivan Ortola, ended his Friday in ninth place on his KTM machine.
Completing the top ten was Japanese rider, Tatsuki Suzuki on the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP machine.
