David Alonso continues his domination in the 2024 Moto3 season as he wins his ninth race this season.
David Alonso is back on the top step of the podium for the ninth time in the 2024 Moto3 season. The Colombian rider has been a dominant force in 2024 and has a 97-point lead with five races remaining. Alonso came from fifth place on the grid to take a narrow victory in Indonesia.
In second place was the Leopard Racing rider Adrian Fernandez. The Spaniard had been on red-hot form all weekend and continued his form and pace into the race. Fernandez narrowly missed out on his maiden Moto3 victory but did pick up his first Moto3 podium.
The feisty Spaniard, David Munoz, came from 13th place on the grid. Even though he is now in his third season in the Championship Munoz never fails to impress as he came through from 13th to third.
Angel Piqueras could not extend his run of podium position finishes as he crossed the line in fourth. The Spaniard had finished first and second at the last two Grands Prix at Misano, but could not match his previous results at Mandalika.
Moto3 rookie, Luca Lunetta, has been putting in the best results of his rookie season in recent races. The Italian secured his second top-five result of the season as he finished in fifth place.
Just outside the top five were Daniel Holgado and Tatsuki Suzuki in sixth and seventh places. The Spaniard finished in sixth on the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 machine, with the Japanese rider in seventh.
Joel Kelso started in eighth on the BOE Motorsports machine and went on to cross the line in the same position.
After starting from pole Ivan Ortola had to take two long lap penalties during the race. The Spaniard could not pull off a comeback as he ended up finishing in ninth place.
Completing the top ten was the LEVELUP - MTA rider of Nicolo Carraro in tenth place.
British rider Scott Ogden scored points in Indonesia as he finished in 13th place.
