The Moto3 World Championship was decided in Japan as David Alonso took victory and the title.
David Alonso took an emotional victory in the 2024 Moto3 Japanese Grand Prix. The 18-year-old was also crowned the 2024 Moto3 World Champion, becoming the first Colombian World Champion.
Collin Veijer's efforts were not enough as the Dutch rider crossed the line in second place. The fight for runner-up in the Moto3 Champion is now on with Veijer in third in the standings, four points behind second.
After claiming his first Moto3 podium last week in Indonesia Adrian Fernandez stood on the podium for the second time in his Grand Prix career in Japan. The Spanish rider finished in third place in the Moto3 Grand Prix at Motegi.
Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 and Red Bull KTM Ajo riders Dani Holgado and Jose Antonio Rueda crossed the line in fourth and fifth places.
There were three Japanese riders inside the top ten in the Moto3 Grand Prix. Two of the home heroes, Ryusei Yamanaka and Tatsuki Suzuki were in sixth and seventh.
David Munoz crossed the line in eighth place on his BOE Motorsports KTM machine. The Spanish rider could not match his performance from Indonesia last week when he stood on the podium.
The final Japanese rider in the top ten was Taiyo Furusato in ninth place across the line.
The only Italian rider inside the top ten in the Japanese Grand Prix was Stefano Nepa. The LEVELUP - MTA rider completed the top ten as he finished in tenth.
