Moto3 Malaysia, Qualifying Results: Fernandez claims his maiden Moto3 pole position

Leopard Racing rider, Adrian Fernandez, claimed his first pole position in Moto3 at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

For the first time this season, Adrian Fernandez has claimed pole position. The Spaniard put his Leopard Racing Honda in first place as he chases his first Moto3 race win.

MT Helmets - MSi rider, Ivan Ortola, missed out on a podium last week in Thailand but qualified in second place for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

David Alonso is in the hunt for his 13th Moto3 race win of the 2024 season. The 2024 Moto3 World Champion will start the Malaysian Grand Prix from third on the grid.

At the front of the second row will be Tatsuki Suzuki on the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP machine. The Japanese rider has not had a top-five finish in 2024 and has his best chance of the season to enter the top five.

Joel Kelso was on pole in Thailand on the BOE Motorsports machine. However, for the Malaysian Grand Prix Kelso will start from fifth place.

The SIC58 Squadra Corse rookie of Luca Lunetta will start from the back of the second row. The Italian has had a strong rookie season and will start from sixth at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit.

At the front of the first row will be Leopard Racing rider, Angel Piqueras. The Spaniard will start from seventh place in the penultimate Grand Prix of the season.

Collin Veijer will start from the middle of the third row on Sunday as he put his Liqui Moly Husqvarna Inact GP machine in eighth place.

Kopron Rivacold Snipers Team rider, David Almansa, completed the third row as he qualified in ninth place.

Rounding out the top ten was Jose Antonio Rueda on the Red Bull KTM Ajo machine.
